German Research Foundation

The German Research Foundation (DFG) is one of the main research funding agencies in Germany. It supports research in science, engineering and the humanities through a large variety of grant programs, prices and by research infrastructure. The DFG is funded by the German federal government and the states, and has as members, only German research universities. IDNMR is funded under the Scientific Library Services and Information Systems (LIS) initiative of the DFG.

Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh)

The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh) is the largest chemical society in continental Europe with members from academy, education, industry and other areas. GDCh supports chemistry in teaching, research and application and promotes the understanding of chemistry in the public. The Division of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (FGMR) established in 1978, is a member of GDCh, established with the aim to promote scientific advancement of magnetic resonance method. It also provides a networking forum for scientist working in this field at universities, industry and other institutions both at home and abroad. Travel grants for students attending the IDNMR workshop at the University of Cologne was funded by the GDCh ‘Sonderfonds für Fachgruppenaktivitäten’.
